Default Winch bumper

I was looking at bumpers with receviers on them and was wonderig if i made a detachable winch mount that slid into the recevier would it be stronger enough to hold or should i just buy a winch bumper so it just bolted in?

With the proper hardware, it would hold. But they are a real pain to carry around and mount when you need it. Plus having to make your electrical hookups.

x2. You really wanna lug a 90lb winch out of the back of your jeep, hook up all the electrical, pull yourself out, then have to look forward to doing it over and over and over? Sorry, just never understood the point of a front receiver for winch use. Just build a bumper.

You can make your electrical connections through one simple plug and if you wanted to you could install a lockable pin through the drawbar and just leave it there unless you needed it elsewhere.
