Will an XJ alt work on a ZJ?

Will an XJ alt work on a ZJ?
I have a 94 ZJ and a 96 XJ.As some of you know the XJ is my wheeler.Now that I have a winch on it I could use the extra amps.Can I swap the two?Or is the XJ alt too small for a ZJ?

the ZJ alt will take a bit of a hair cut to make it fit into the bracket, but after you grind a little off it will bolt right in. As far the XJ alt working on the ZJ i dont think that the amp rating will be high enough and you might burn up alts rather quickly...
