Default Will this trans work?

I found a used trans for a good price and want to pick it up for a spare to rebuild and have ready when mine goes out. I have a 2000 and the one I'm looking to get is a 1989. Is it a straight plug and play? I have a feeling the wiring connectors changed between those years...

Bummer. I could deal with splicing connectors considering the guy only wants $50 for the thing, but the output shaft is a deal breaker.
