Default will there tires - wheels fit

265/75/16 on 16x8 wheels. Should be equivalent to a 31" tire on a 15" wheel. I have a stock 89 XJ. Found a slightly used set. Tires are kuhmo road venture AT's. Anyone using these tires??? Can pick up wheels- tires for 450$ tires have 2k miles. Wheels are black 297's....
thanks for any info guys...
Eddie

they will fit but I would recommend atleast a budget boost... if not you will rub going over a speed bump....

I ran then with a budget boost for months.

the unique 297's are what I run as well. they are Discount Tires "soft 8's" - exact same wheel...

here is what it looks like:

i have had 265/75 on 15 and was plenty fine for daily driving

im on 31x10.5 on 15x8 with a 2" lift and have slight rub when turning hard
using 1.25" spydertrax spacers and everything is all better including a nice wider stance for gripping the road

like "96xj" said - your only catch is your going to need a lift, running on 16 your gonna probably rub over bumps
