You might want to add on some "door frame" pieces to your roll cage to keep oversized rocks from getting in your face too.

It's kinda like sticking a fork in a crab leg....the shell is useless to stop it.

 

its a unibody vehical every part of that car is supporting another part. if you do chop it you better be ready to do alot of bracing. Why are you doing that anyway? Most roll overs on cherokees just rip the side mirrors off and may pop the glass out! Not to be mean but it sound like trouble

I'd get that thing roll caged before your next O/R excursion.
