Will 86 4x4 swap into 92???
Ok, so I have a 92 2wd that runs strong, kinda. Also have a 86 with a shot motor and rough tranny, but the 4wd supposedly works great. Both are auto. What else besides the transfer case and front axle needs to be swapped???

they used different auto trans and transfer cases for those years
I believe 2wd and 4wd transmissions were also different lengths
I doubt they will bolt up easily
you will also need the front and rear driveshafts, the 4wd shift linkage and bezel
and either the vacuum lines for the front axle actuator or bypass it
make sure the gear ratio in the front is the same as your rear axle now
