I have a 31" BFG on a 15x8 TJ Canyon wheel there, right now. Its a tight fit but it works. Have to open the rear hatch, to re-latch the rear seat back, so any bigger would be a problem.

I have heard that if you remove the base that the tire sits on a 31 will fit. You just have to use one of the lug nut holes.

It will fit but like mentioned above, it is a really tight fit. Thats where I had mine till I got a stock tire carrier from the junk yard. Im really enjoying having that extra space.

It will rub on the rear fender corners and on the control arms.

I am sure it would if this was refering to 31s under stock suspension... but this is just him trying to put a spare 31 inside where the stock spare is at, heh.

He is saying that when he latches the seat he opens the rear hatch first then latches the seat. Then he closes the hatch.

ah sorry, i misunderstood the question. A 31x10.50 does not fit in place of the spare tire. The tailgate won't close.
