Default Wierd braking issue ....ABS actuating????

I occasionally have a weird braking issue with my '01 XJ. When stopping, right before I come to a stop I will get a weird pedal vibration. Its a rather high frequency vibration..... It almost feel like the ABS might be kicking on. It doesnt really effect my braking because it doesnt happen until I'm down to about 1 mph.

Booster is new, no fluid leaks, has fluid, good pads.

Any ideas???

Try pulling out the abs fuse and see if that stops it

to dig up an old post... My ABS does the exact same thing on my 01, worked great till i was way out in the bush one day, pulled the relays and forgot about it untill today when i found them in my glove box.

is this some sort of common problem? anyone know what to do about it? i checked all my sensors and tone rings, everything looks good, no leaks, brakes are fresh and stops perfect without the ABS hooked up.

Default abs issues too

I just bought a 90 xj with soft brakes and abs problems and would love to see some discussions for a fellow newbie. i have read about the abs problems on the forums and the various pro's and con's. Does anyone have suggestions on which options to pursue first?? maybe a list that goes from low cost/low skill to really expensive and genius level mechanic?

Thanks for the great site and help. Just bought the xj thursday for my son and hope to make it a father and son money/buddy project.
