Why does my heat not work!?
So I have 99XJ, and I went through my car wash with it, and all of a sudden the air just shut off while i was in the middle of the wash. A mechanic told me the electric fan and the blower motor were both garbage, but I don't believe him since they both just mysteriously came off at the same time. My horn fuse always pops and my radio doesn't work for a little bit after I leave the car wash too. Like the electrical is getting wet.
So I guess before an Ohio winter sweeps in, I should figure out if its just a fuse or if I need to seriously get a blower motor and a fan. I already checked the resistor piece by the glove box and it's fine. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Just guessing, but I would bet the seal around your windshield is leaking. Does this happen during good downpours too?

Yeah it does, but the windshield was replaced 5 months ago. But now that I think about it, I've felt a drop before on my leg during heavy rain. So is my heat screwed?

I am guessing it fried when it got wet, so your gonna have to go to whoever did the windshield replacement, show them it's leaking and explain that because of the leak, your electrical if fried. They should have insurance to cover it.

I know the name, I believe they are reputable, you should be set. Let me know how things work out. If it turns out you need a new heater, heater core or something else to fix the issue, after you get the leak fixed, let me know, I'm always stripping Cherokee's and storing parts.

Aren't you supposed to have your car off during the car wash so nothing electrically can get damaged?
Atleast thats what I always thought..

Ever seen those automated car washes that you drive into, it does the washing, you drive forward about five feet, it rinses, your done? They have one like that at the Kwikfill up the street, I won't use it, but my GF does all the time. You don't shut the car off in it.
