A 27 spline has less splines, there for each spline would be bigger than the splines on a 29,right?Thicker splines would be stronger than thinner splines I would think. Can anyone explain in easy terms why 29 is better? In my mind bigger splines equal stronger splines.Just putting it out there for discussion.

From what I've read, more splines is considered stronger but I see where you're coming from also.

The splines are the same size on each axle. The difference is the axle shaft diameter. The 29 spline shaft is larger, therefore there are more splines around it. Thicker shafts mean more strength.

4x4s are not like golf. lower is not good. dana 30 compared to dana 60. 60 is better. 27 spline compared to a 30 spline. 30 is better. it gets odvious, higher number better

Asked and answered - check your thread over on JeepForum (I don't want to go into it again - I just answered that question five minutes ago...)
