Default Whupwhupwhup felt through steering wheel when starting from stop

210,000 miles on it. When I start from a stop, I feel a whupwhupwhup through the steering wheel for about the f rest full revolution of tires, but then it's gone. No problems, then I'll stop at a stop sign or light, as soon as I start moving a quick three "whupwhupwhup"s again. Bearing? Bushings?

Al thoughts appreciated

After a little further reading, seems like slip yoke. I'll try greasing that more this afternoon. Funny how you seat hands read and find nothing, but makes. Post and continue reading and sure enough you find a probably cause

I'd be checking your motor mounts, a known failure mode on XJs. Check both the rubber and bolts to the block.

Does it sound like a helicopter is chasing a zebra down the highway?

ipad got me! should've read:

But at that point, I couldn't just delete this post. Didn't get to it today though. It's three (always 3) whumps, and it doesn't happen unless it's cold (first 5-10 min of driving)
