Who needs 95 XJ parts?
Long time viewer, newbie poster. Long story short I bought a manual 95 XJ 4.0 for 3k and put 3k into it before realizing all floor pans and cargo area need to be replaced due to rust. Exterior in great shape, new full header, Gibson exhaust, leaf springs, shocks, rotors, pads, wheels...too much to list. Anyway, mechanically it is great, very solid, 166k on engine. I dont have time to do all the welding and fix up, so I bought another 98 XJ and am taking a loss. Big question is do I sell 95 whole for maybe $1500 or part it out and use some parts on my 98, sell the rest. My decision will partly be decided by the replies and how many people need parts and whether it's worth it or not....so please let me hear it. Who needs 95 XJ parts, what and what price?

I would sell the 95 whole to someone who wants to do the welding.
I'd totally buy a mechanically sound 95 5-spd that only needed floor pans for $1500.
Edit - However, if you're going to part it out, what's the part # on the computer and how is the driver's side mirror?

Driver side mirror is great, I will PM you on Sunday with the computer number as it is garaged at my brothers house currently.
what area are you located? I am in northeast PA, I want sure what would be reasonable price to sell whole with the rust. I can share pictures over the weekend.

Honestly, the reasonable price is whatever someone is willing to pay for it. Any prospective buyer is likely to be a Jeep lover or teenager.
What I would recommend is calling some local body shops or welders and see what a rough estimate would be for doing the job. You can also look up the preformed sheet metal prices as well -- then it's info you'd have to provide a prospective buyer.
When I was shopping for my 95, I looked at an 01 that the seller mentioned the floors were needed to be re-done. He was asking 1500. The turn-off for me was the noisy tranny, that it was a nv3550 and not an AX15 and that it was lifted. (Plus it was power windows and I wanted hand crank).
I got my 95 for 800, but it needed an exhaust and obviously a few other things - the selling points were the major components worked and it had good tires. The body had almost 300k on it.
You shouldn't have much trouble finding a buyer at 1500 if it only needs floor pans welded in.

I vote you repair or have it repaired. If not, I may need an intermittent wiper module. I'm going to clean up the connector on mine and see if it gets better but typically I put it on intermittent and get low speed wipers for a bit then at random the Intermittent function starts working again for the rest of the trip.
