It's called getting **** done, not dicking around and making a small problem into a larger one (poor people mentality)
I don't have time to have my XJ sit at a shop for 2 weeks while some mom & pop shop delays my order so I can save $10.
It's obvious by reading the terrible Summit reviews.
Most crappy internet retailers don't even have the inventory, they just drop ship.
2 weeks or 2 days? Take your pick.
You always order from Amazon when you need **** done correctly and quickly.

So, I ordered the suggested McGuard lugs from Amazon.
My lug nuts will arrive tomorrow. Problem solved.

Not sure if the one star reviews were from poor quality control but there are several good reviews from Jeep owners. I have a set of good lug nuts on one of my Jeeps but they only lasted one winter before they rusted. Most of it cleans off except the spots where the socket scraped them when installing. They have been on and off several times though. I just don’t have time to polish my nuts. And I don’t have a lot of money either but lug nuts are a pretty important part of a vehicle and I would spend a little extra for something that I would never have to buy again. Though I would not buy them if they were $100, $50-$60 is worth it IMO.

I stripped a cover off of lug nut once, went down a socket size and removed it that way. i changed a couple of studs by banging them out not drilling I don't enjoy wrenching that much. Bang an impact socket (1/2" if necessary) on the lug nut, use appropriate breaker bar and appropriate sized pipe. If stud breaks bang out whats left and put in another one, if you expect this to happen a lot. pick up a few take back what you don't use. Advice: DOnt let other people mess with your jeep..Its really not necessary.. Good Luck.

I know Bimmer has already ordered the lugs, but I'll throw my $.02 in.
I used Gorilla branded lugs several years ago when I had the same stuck lug problem. They make an extended lug nut that sticks out a bit and is awesome for getting a good grip on the lugs. I never had an issue afterward.
I bought a cheapo version of the extended ones for my XJ to replace the mish-mash of rusty and beaten up lugs that it came to me with. They seem ok, but I've had to tighten them up a bit after driving. Other than that they've been fine.
Do remember to check any new lugs after a couple hundred miles just to be sure.

Mechanic replaced all 20 lugnuts with my $70 McGuards.
He had to drill out 2 of the lug studs.
Now they are all torqued to 90lbs, not like the gorillas at the tire shop.
