i have this weird whissling/whining noise as i drive..

it is only at low throttle and sounds like it is in the cab area maybe the dash

as i go higher throttle it goes away

anyone have any idea what this could be???

 

wish i could help but no idea - what year is it? a friend of mine had a similar thing (so it sounds) with his '01 wrangler and the techs at the dealership told him it was 'no big deal - it just makes that noise sometimes'...

 

Does your truck have a throttle body spacer?

I installed a spacer under the throttle body on my 2001 XJ and have a similar noise caused by air flow.

 

Any sort of intake work?

Maybe someone did you a giant favor and installed a supercharger while you were asleep.

 

Sounds like a noise in the dash. What bout vaccum leak for heater controls where do the colored tubes go behind the heater controls
