Default Where is my o2 sensor failed my emission test

I failed my emission test due to o2 sensor but can't locate it nowhere near my muffler. My heater is not blowing hot air at all I put a new compressor for summer time but it's winter in Chicago can it be the thermostat sensor???

What?

One at a time dude...

First, tell us what year, vehicle, and engine you have.

Welcome to the forum.

It will help us if you include your year specs for your ride as they differ from year to year.

That said it sounds like you have several issues. Depending on your year, the best way to find your O2 sensors is to start at the manifold and work your way all the way back to the tailpipe. Unless you have an 00-01, you should have 2 of them, one upstream, one down. Upstream will be the one closest to the motor, just after the manifold. Downstream will be just after the cat convertor. 00-01 also have 2 more pre cats just after the mani.

As for your heat issue, try to flush/backflush the heater core, it may be clogged, if that doesn't work, you may need to replace the heater core. Hard to say. You need to do some noggin' pokin'.

You need to pull the codes. It will tell you which sensors are bad. And probably some other stuff, too.

Have the codes read and report back.

I took it to autozone so they can read the codes and it won't read it. Don't know if the fuse is blown that's what they suggested.

When in doubt check all of them. Under the hood and in the kick panel.

You could try another parts store to see if you get the same result.

You're already in over your head. Take the Jeep to a shop and have it professionally repaired.
