I have a 98 4.0 and can't find the MAT sensor.Anyone know where it is?It is actually a 96 intake manifold on a 98 motor.

Is that the Air temp sensor? If so it is sitting between the #2 & #3 cylinders on the intake manifold.

The only sensor I can find in the manifold isn't the one. It's all the way at the back on top of it and the harness from that won't plug in to the new one I bought.I looked up the sensor online and matched a pic to the new one and it's identical. So ,I know it's the right one.

Not sure what a MAT sensor is.....IAT is intake air temp, MAP is manifold absolute pressure.......a pic is worth 1K words.

^ thats the one.
I found it.It's on top of the manifold behind the throttle body.I found that one a long time ago but didn't think it was it cause its shaped totally different then it should be. It appears my 96 has a 97 sensor on it and not a 96 from the factory. It was built on august 31 of 96.Late in the model year. Thanks for the help.
