Found this unused male plug at the front driver side of my engine bay. Basically it's right in front of the intake. It has black and green wires. Here are a couple pictures. I assume it's aftermarket cause I can't figure out where it would go to

Oh and excuse all that red wiring, the PO did a **** poor job of wiring a toggle switch to the electric fan.

I'm just curious about this plug. Everything runs and operates well, it was just hanging out so I was seeing what it's supposed to go to, if anything for that matter!

Not positive but that's probably the old efan connector. It hung out right in that spot.

you could test that theory, and get other ideas, by measureing the volts on it, key on/off, turn a/c switch on so it would kick stock e-fan on, try other switches and check for voltage.

yea looks like the guy fully bypassed the factory wiring for the Aux/AC fan, most just wire a relay and switch to the power side of that plug

dont worry bout it, when i had a VW the previous owner had hacked the **** out of the wiring harnesses and just left random plugs and stuff, took me forever to track down what all of it was and clean it up. It would be so nice if some people would just realize they suck at wiring and leave well enough alone or do it right in the first place.
