Found this custom gauge plate online, so bought it, installed it.
Fits in your ashtray space, and you can secure it down nicely.
Mine isnt secured down just yet, as I gotta wire in my back lights.
Hey man, I'm wanting to do exactly what you're talking about. I have the factory piece with just the rear defrost switch, and bought the one with both switches off ebay. I want to wire some LED pods up to the fog light switch and use them as my fog lights. Did you wire lights up using the fog light switch, and how easy was it?

Go to advance auto or auto zone and buy a 4 prong relay. Relay with take the stress off the switch it self. All a relay does is 1)battery in 2)ground 3)switch 4)source aka lights. You can google and find a whole right up telling you everything you need and how to wire it. Just a word of advice.
I also had had a factory fog light switch and no do not wire lights straight to switch unless you want a fire.

I bought a light bar wiring kit off ebay to use but it comes with an egg shaped weird push button power switch. The kit has a relay and fuse built into the line. I basically wanted to know how if I could just cut that ugly switch off, put some blade terminals on the end of the wires, and slide them on the factory fog light switch. You think that would work?

Here's the thread where I wired them to the switch:

The correct wiring order for the switch is in the last post.

had to pull the front dash trim, cut in about a 3/4" by 1" rectangle, and the switch is a press fit. top light in the switch comes on with the headlights, and the bottom light comes on when the switch is on.
