On the roof? Some sort of bumper mounted swing out?

I am on 32s.

I drive the Jeep up skiing, so I need to be able to accomodate my ski rack.

i lay mine in the back for now because im to lazy to stand it back up in the stock location

you could lay it in the back and build a shelf on top of it so you dont loose any storage space

i have mine strapped to my custom roof rack.
but it is a heavy 36" on beadlock rim, so the weight tilts the jeep a bit on extreme off camber trails.
i will mount it to a custom rear tire swing as soon as i make one. but for now, the roof is ok, till i have to remove it or put it back up.
if i get a flat on the road, i'll just call CAA. lol.

i had a piece of steel puncture through one tire on the trail, but instead of using my spare, i just used my tire repair kit and plugged it without removing it off the jeep. i didn't loose much air at all either.

Right now I have it on the inside, but as soon as I get a "special plate" made for my rim its going up top on the rack.

I had mine on the roof... Until I had a blow out in a mud pit.... And had to hoist a tire and rim combo that weighs 90 lbs.. plus mud and water up there... Now it rides inside until I finish a tire swing...

I was thinking about hitting up the junkyard and grabbing a back bumper and swing away tire carrier for the back hatch. My 84 had this, and I liked it. I kinda want to put it on my 93.

Has anyone done this conversion? I'd like to free up some cargo space inside. I bet it could be had for cheap.
