I have been looking and I’ve found several sets of injectors on amazon, but I’m not sure if they’re the same. I see posts all the time about people finding the 703 injectors at Junkyards but if You can buy them online brand new I’m not sure why one wouldn’t. So my question is, could I just buy a set from Rockauto or amazon or any other part store that fit the 95-96 neon, or is it strictly going to be a junkyard find for the most part?

Unless your injectors are bad, you won't see much of a difference with those injectors. If your injectors are bad, I'd just get new injectors from Rock Auto or Amazon.

That whole 4 hole "upgrade" is a placebo effect.

 

You are not even close to being correct. There is a significant difference. Better performance, better fuel economy.

If your injectors are fine, the upgrade may not be cost effective, but if you are replacing bad injectors, you are foolish to use the stockers.

If you have 4 hole, going to 12 gets you very little, if any, improvement.

They make a huge difference. You may not notice it as easy in an automatic because of being steady on the throttle. But with a standard when you are on the gas, off the gas, shift, on the gas, off the gas, shift, on the gas then you really notice the drastic difference.

 

X2. Send a pm to jhc7399 if you need injectors. He refurbishes and flow tests genuine bosch injectors. Those cheap sets you see on Ebay and Amazon are fake chinese knockoffs that are not flow matched and may be worse than what you already have. There have been lot of posts about people having issues after getting the cheap 12-hole ones. I'm pretty happy with the set I bought from Jeff. The idle was maybe a touch smoother, but otherwise there was no dramatic difference besides not dribbling gas like my rusted out originals.

 

Do you have any proof? When I say proof, I'm not referring to he said she said or the butt of the pants feel. I'm referring to a dyno for power improvement or recording your mileage in the same conditions before and after the injector "upgrade."
If your injectors are shot, any cleaned or new injector will show an improvement. I'm just skeptical of this upgrade. But hey, I'm all for being wrong if someone can show some evidence. Heck, I may have to pick up a set if so.

After I replaced the fuel pump, my Jeep(with 1 hole injectors) runs great and gets better mileage too. Idle is smooth.

 

My comment about not noticing much difference aside from a slightly smoother idle was based on seat of the pants feel and getting maybe 1/2-mpg improvement. I had cleaned my injectors a few years earlier, and only replaced them because the bodies had rusted and were weeping gas. I replaced mine because they were leaking, whereas others may notice a bigger improvement due to running freshly cleaned, flow matched injectors versus old dirty ones. If you need to replace them or clean them, I would agree with installing a set of flow matched bosch 4-holes. I'm just not sure I'd run out and buy a set without suspecting I have an issue with the existing ones. Or grab a set of unknown quality at the junkyard that despite 4-hours could be worse than what I've already got.
