Guys, excuse my ignorance, but where is the distributer located on the 4.0? I have a 2000 xj and can't find it!

yup, i just realized ahaha. So where does the spark come from?

 

Look on the passenger side of your engine. You will see a long black rectangular block, sitting up off the block. That is your coil pack. It sits on top of the spark plugs. Should be held on with 2 or 3 bolts into the block.
