I bought a new Cherokee a few weeks ago. Have been working out some bugs since i got it and finally have it running better. I have noticed thought that when it sits overnight the first time i turn it over it will turn but won't start. I can stop then do it again and it starts every time.
Any advice on what the issue could be? It isn't too big of a deal but wouldn't mind fixing it before it gets worse. The battery looks a little old so could it be possible that the battery is getting weak??

Cherokees definitely don't like it when batteries get old, but it sounds just like when the fuel pump in my 96xj had a bad check-valve. It would lose fuel pressure after a few hours of sitting off. If you turn the key to on (which causes the fuel pump to run for a second or two) then back off, then to on again before turning it to start that will help by getting fuel pressure back up prior to starting until you fix the problem - if that's what it is. I think if it was the battery it would crank noticeably slower maybe?
