My buddy noticed today as I backed in my driver's side tire appeared to "tilt" way more than it should. When I parked (on flat ground) it appears the top of the tire is angled in towards to wheel well more than the passenger side is. My jeep still tracks straight and I haven't noticed any odd tire wear. Any suggestions as id like to get it straightened up if possible.

Things like the drag link track bar and tie rod are always suspect, other things to check would be where your control arms mount to your axle and the body, you need to make sure that those are undamaged..

I will check out the ball joints, whats the best way to check em? Im not running a sway bar but im sure that has nothing to do with it. The control arm mounts are fine. Trac bar is brand new adj one. Im hoping its just something an alignment will cure...unless ball joints are cheap and easy.

Ball joints are about 25 dollars each piece of advice get the big ball joint press from advance auto parts its a 180 dollar deposit but you will need it for the lower joints unless your tire is about to fall off or your hub/unit bearing is loose its your ball joints causing it to lean .

Yes a hub assembly has the bearings in it. But I would recommend a better hub then that. I bought 2 of the same one you are looking at and burned them out in 3 months time. ( no hardcore off roading by the way). So I bought Timkin hubs and wish I would've the first time

My b-in-law just got a '97 GC and it has this problem but, his is a bent knuckle. You can clearly see it. It seems that the PO was hit by a drunk drivern

I'd say bad ball joints. Jack the front end up and put it on jackstands. Then with the tires still mounted, stick a pry bar under the tire that's learning and try to pry up. If you got any play at all it's ball joints.

I've never used the pry bar method, I'll have to remember that one. I've always just jacked up one side at a time with the wheel still on, and grabbed the tire at the top and bottom trying to rock it back and forth/in & out. If you can feel any play, either the ball joints are bad or the wheel bearing is loose.
