I'd go with these from Spidertrax.

rough country makes them for half the price of most. I have a set. The lug studs are pretty cheap, but I called them after two snapped in the same day and they just sent me a whole new spacer for free so they like to take care of you. Their 1.5" compared to the 1.25" norm.

Thats cause spidertrax are the only trustworthy spacers.

NHRA uses them.

^x2 Spidertrax good stuff, you don't want to be busting lug bolts when you are out wheeling, and some company replacing your spacer because it broke just isn't good enough. IMO

I'm not knocking the spiders, just saying the rough country ones are a lot cheaper. Just another option.

I'll stay away from the spacer questions as much as possible, its already been beat to death, and I'm not looking to get into it with anyone. I'll say this, though, I wouldn't use them. Just adds more crap to an already vulnerable area.

I would ask what your doing with the rig before giving advice on spools. Typically a spool would mean that its fully locked, and that can be rough for a DD that sees tons of road time. It'll be a pain once it rains or snows, you'll have a really high tendency to powerslide, so it can be unsafe. If you have the cash I'd suggest a selectable locker, such as Ox or ARB. Someone out there makes an electronic locker as well, but I forget who.

If you do it right then don't buy something. Make it. The only way to do it right is to make it to your specs. Get to know a good machinist! haha. Make it from some high grade stainless, not just the spacer itself but the studs too.

Or go to someone who sells them and has put time and money into R&D and engineering so they know they have a decent product.

Depending on what year 8.8 you pick up the difference could be 1.25-1.50 inches. On most 4x4s that wouldn't amount to anything, but depending on the size of the tire used, and the rim size, and back spacing mixed with the Cherokee's tiny wheel wells, plus the fact that the disc brakes on the 8.8 may need some room inside the wheels there could easily be problems.
That would require wheel spacers.

This from the guy that said to buy Rough Country spacers??? Wow!!

Go with Spydertrax! I've had them on my JK running 35's for 3 years now and have wheeled the crap out of it without a single problem!!
