What gear ratio does 95 Cherokees have? Also did they ever make a Cherokee that came with rear disc brakes? If so what year?

Get on the ground and look at your rear axle it will tell you the ratio

Front axle has a tag also.

Rule of thumb is auto trans is 3.55 and manual trans is 3.07. Still best to crawl under and have a look.

XJs never had rear discs. Easily converted if you have the Chrysler 8.25 rearend though.

Grand Cherokees had rear discs. It's easy to use their parts (94 to 98) and convert yours IF you have a Chrysler 8.25 rearend.

Ya, my Grand is 3.55 but I was wondering if there was an alternet way of knowing what you have. If the tags are gone and you have no idea whats in there.

Look at the tag on the front diff if it's 4WD. Otherwise, remove the diff cover and count the teeth on the ring gear and divide that number by the number of teeth on the pinion gear.
