Default What's this hose for????

OK, I'm having problems with my 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport, 4L, 6 cylinder stalling when I'm not accelerating and bucking & jerking. Posted a question before and the general response was that I have a vacuum hose problem. I have not found a hose problem yet. I did find this hose with a white plastic piece in the end of it, and I wondering what it does, should it just be sitting there, or should it be connected to something? Is this a vacuum hose? Maybe it's the problem. It's in the center of the pic that shows most of the engine.

That would be the vent line for the front axle.

That's the vent tube for the front diff, and the bucking issue could be a failing fuel pump. Mine does the same thing and that's what I have narrowed it down to. I just need to get the money for a boush (sp?) Other brands supposedly are very prone to failure

I had the fuel pump replaced about two years ago. Should not be failing yet, should it?

What brand did you get? I can't remember the exact name but there is one that starts with a "a" that I guess is essentially a complete waist of money because you will likely see a failure from it
