One 90 has over 280K on the 231. No trouble and no full time. My other 90 came with a 242. I got it at 190K. Took me a bit to figure out that when the that was changed to a 231 they didn't change the shifter bezel. So trouble, and still no full time. I'm happy with them, mostly only use 4 WD when I'm stuck myself.
