Going to the junkyard to buy a few mirrors tomorrow. Does anyone know what year XJ my doors are from? Mine is a 98 2-door, and I know the doors that are on there now are not original.

The door pictured is pre-97. They fit on but don't match right on 97plus.

 

Its a 84-96,Easy way to tell is the window glass if its a 2 piece like that its the older body if its just one piece of window glass its 97-01.If your looking to replace the door make sure its from a 2 door xj if not it will be short.The 4 door xj doors are shorter then the 2 door ones.

 

I intend to keep the doors. The door arm where they lock in has been welded in a new place to accomodate the difference in size. The mirrors, however, are not working for ****. it would be nice to be able to see the lanes on either side of me without craning my neck around. hahaha

 

Too bad whoever did that didn't look around. Doors are everywhere for the 97+ crowd.
