Picking up a HP dana 30 to swap into my 2000. Im a little confused about about the year Jeep i should get my axle from I want one with the larger Ujoints. Whats this i hear about ABS? and why would it matter no XJ ever had front wheel ABS...if someone could clear this up for me it would be great.

try for one from 97 to 99. that way your brakes will bolt right up. plus you get the larger 5-297x joints.
doesn't matter if the shafts have anti-lock tone rings or not, unless you have anti-lock and want to keep it.

it does matter a little wether or not it has abs. ALL diffs that has abs come with the abs have the bigger u joints, doesnt matter what year
