Any kind of "gimmick" plug is a waste. Just like a throttle body spacer or a "tornado". E-3's, Bosch platinum 2's, 4's, split fire, etc....

And I agree you're getting water
In your cylinder for some reason.

amen!!!!!! all those " specially named " plugs do is cost more & sometimes even help your engine run HOTTER! like an xj doesn't do that enough

NGK PLUGS are my favorite, they have always been good plugs for me, I run some octane boost cause I can't get any good gas around here, I also run some combo "heat" addative which helps dry out water in fuel, yes all gas has water in it, and it also has injector cleaner in this addative. I do not run them all the time or on every tank of gas, but about every third or fourth tank just to keep everything clean and burning right.

No additives, just name brand gas. Like Shell, Chevron, etc. Maybe a couple times a year some type of cleaner.

It's true if a car didn't come with these newer plugs they ain't worth crap. I'm ashamed to say this but I've ha the same plugs for a while now, she runs great Simone had no need to replace them. As for additives seafoam Is great and ever few oil changes I'll use mopar fuel injector cleaner and Mobil premium gas. And yes premium gas does make a difference with the detergents, it can be felt under the pedal. Treat your rig right and it'll

Premium gas has no more detergents than 87 octane in all name brand fuels anymore.

Well that combustion rate difference feels good in a straight 6.

You guys will think im crazy but transmission fluid is the best additive. Saves from dirty injectors and helps eliminate the possibility of sticking intake valves. 1 quart in the tank everytime you fill up works wonders. And makes for a really clean piston/cylinder on teardowns.
