what in the world?
pulled this off the other day, it was full of pine needles.
it attaches right underneath the canister onto the firewall directly (think left of the dizzy in the picture). I tried as best I could to get a picture of the actual connection, but its too tucked away to get my camera there.
it looks to me like its part of the interior air supply or something, but its definitely missing something because it isnt connected to anything else.
when the engine is running and the blower is on it pushes air out. is it some sort of air purge?
anyone know what part it connects to or what its for?

Its a drainage hose for your HVAC, helps exit condensation and drainage from hood cowl. Keep it clean, or it will clog up and you'll get a puddle of water on the floor of your XJ when it rains or you run the AC.

this explains the puddle of water on my passengers side floor sometimes. considering there were pine needles in the hose, I'm going to assume there is some crap inside the line that goes through the firewall. how can i clean that?
also is it supposed to end just like that? there is nothing for it to attach to?
