Default What will work

Hi,
I was wondering what would work in my situation. I am looking at getting a 1995-1999 jeep Cherokee. I want to have it lifted and have 33inch tires on it. What would be the cheapest way to do this. I heard about leaf springs but I have no clue on how that would work and all the parts that would go with it. Any help would be appreciated

Cheap, or the easiest and cheapest. Very big difference, and depends on your skills. If you're asking, though, probably the second option is better for you.

But, cheapest will be to put on 33's, cutting fenders as necessary, then lift to achieve the desired clearance and articulation. NOT the best option, imo. But, if you're only driving on the street, or doing mud/sand, it shouldn't be a big deal. This would not be a good idea for rocks or technical trails; remember, this is the cheap option.

If very little of this made sense to you, then buy a lift kit and go that route. You can get some 3 inch lifts for 150-200 on carparts.com. I checked it myself a few weeks ago. That should let you fit 33's, although you will probably need wheel spacers or aftermarket wheels.

With 33's you'll want to regear.
