Default What is this and where does it go??

I just installed my new rims and tires and when i went to drive the jeep the tires rubbed so i got out to inspect it and noticed this hanging from the front drivers side in front of the axle. What is it and how and where do i reconnect it?

It connects to the master brake cylinder so obviously it has something to do with the brakes.

It drops down behind the bumper here

And here is the other end. Where and what does that connect to?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Looks like an air-line hook-up. Maybe the vehicle was used at one time as a tow behind vehicle, and there was some kind of connection to the towing rig for the brakes in the Jeep to function as needed when being towed? Just my guess.

Thats possible. I do know the PO installed that master cylinder because his stock one failed. Should i just try to drive and see what happens? Or does anyone know anything else it could be?

I'd wait for more opinions/advice, but I've never seen that before and don't know how or if it would affect your brakes. I'd try it and see. JMO

Air fitting for something. What's at the other end of the hose?

Yep, that a pancake air-cylinder between the Booster and the Master cylinder. With the hose disconnected brakes work as normal. hook the hose up to an air braked motor home, and it the brakes are operated from the tow vehicle.
