So what im pointing to is where it SHOULD go, i capped it off and drove around it ran fine idled about 300 and didnt shudder or anything, hell it ran smoother i dare say

That is what I mean. I checked my Chilton and it shows the same vac diagram for all 4.0Ls. It has different diagrams for the 2.8L 49-state and CA models but not for the 4.0. From what I can decipher from the diagram, it appears that vacuum line goes to a "bi-metal temp sensor" located in the air box. Mine doesn't go there.
