I use rotella shell for the zinc... It keeps my baby running quiet... As for the weight I go 15w 40

Thats simply from hot oil haha, I ran 10w-40 Valvoline last summer and it still did that.

Well Idk if that's fair. I still like to read and hear other people's opinions on various subjects. But anything other than what the manual says is just an opinion. I'm sure the manual meant to use xxxxx oil for the LIFE of the engine.

If the oil is too thick you could add 3 or 4 cans of seafoam to thin it out. Not really that good for the engine though.

Well just wandering what does the owners manual says don't have one yet for my jeep does it say 5w-30

Yea it does say 5w30. However I chose the oil for my temp range...10w30... very rare does it get below 0*F here. It is however over 60* all the time in summer.
