Hey im looking to buy a cherokee. Im on a 2000$ budget. What should I look out for when looking at cherokee's?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

rust. check the rocker panels, check all the floor pans and cargo area. look under the carpet if you can, or at the very least crawl underneath and poke around for soft spots. also check for a leaky rear main seal, maybe ask if it has been done. all i can think of right now for xj specific stuff, otherwise just check it like any other car(exhaust, tires, maybe crawl under and check all the ujoints and steering).
