Just finished my rear bumper/carrier.....
After way too many hours working on this thing, I finally got it finished up and on today. Sorry I don't have many build pics, I figured I'd show you guys what I came up with.
Its all 1/4" steel and reinforced where the reciever hitch used to mount. I made it pretty skinny for the best departure angle. You can see alot of the gas tank from behind, but a gas tank skid plate is next on my list.
The tire carrier is rock solid...it doesn't wiggle or bounce even on rough roads. I made it so I can move the tire up for when I'm wheeling and down so I can see over it in my rear view mirror.
The tail light gaurds are 7/8" rod. they took about 4 hours to do.
Oh, and I'm getting married in 9 days....but don't worry, she likes 'wheeling And she was very patient with me while I was working on the bumper instead of wedding plans!

Ah yes, a buddy of mine pointed that out to me and said I should change all my bulbs before putting it on, which I failed to do. It will take me an hour to change a bulb now but oh well.
