2001 XJ and I need to replace the blower motor. I’ve only owned an XJ for a year, so I’m still pretty fresh. I am wondering if any of you fine people can tell me what the 2 items are that I have circled in red in the picture below.

Jim, thank you. It appears that if I remove that, I will have a much easier time replacing the blower motor. I have read that the bracket for the accumulator can be loosened so that the accumulator can rotate out of the way enough, without evacuating the refrigerant, so the blower motor can be replaced.
