What are these random plugs in the center console switch area?

When taking off my stereo/climate control/center console surround today on my 98 Cherokee Sport I noticed that on the backside of the lower center console where the cigarette lighter, power adapter, and rear window wiper are, there are two plugs that are plugged into the back of the empty switches in my center console. It would appear as if they are supposed to go to switches that aren't there but I know that my Jeep didn't come with any of the things like fog lights, rear window defroster, etc.
What are these for? Are these wires for options that didn't come preinstalled on the Jeep like factory fog lights and such or what?

All jeeps came with the same basic harness no matter the trim package, therefore you may not have say a rear wiper blade in the rear, but the plug for the switch for it is still in your jeep.

One harness is for the fog lights, the other may be for extended idle.

All I have on mine is a blank switch, rear wiper, and another blank switch. However, I have plugs there where the blank switches are which is why I'm asking if it's prewired for fogs and rear defrost switches. I looked under the hood where the fog light relay should be and it's not there and neither are the metal prongs it would go into so I'm a little confused.
Sounds like you dont have a rear defroster and it is more than likely a defroster harness.
The wiring for the fog light terminates prior to the fuse block, in order to add oem fog lights you would need the switch, a relay, and the oem harness from the fuse block out.
