What size?
I'm about to make a rims and tire purchase. What size of rims do I need? 15x12? 15x10? Chrome? Powder coat? Beadlocks? Ect? What size of tires? All terrain? Width? Height? Brands?
I need input and opinions. I will be using it for off-road mainly. Mud, dirt rocks.

is that pre runner yours? because for a guy who races a caged xj you don't seem to know much about it..
anyway. wheel size depends on tire size. tire size depends on axle setup. everything else is preference
mud tires will be better offroad. all terrain tires will be better on road. maxxis, BFG, goodyear, mickey thompson, dick cepek, swampers, boggers
if I had to guess you will probably end up with 15x8 R15 steelies with 33-35x12.5" mud tires

The gear ratio i run racing is different than what I run in my woods xj. I just bought my woods xj and the tires I race would never work. So being there are hundreds of wheelers here I was just wanting to get some ideas of what others were running.
Tnx

questions,
lift/ suspension?
gear ratio?
axles?
mods?
I think those answers might be needed to help us to inform you...
because I don't think a 15X10 or bigger would fit under a stock XJ ?

then you prolly want 31x10.5's with offset rims and they shouldnt rub a bit. i ran my 31x10.5s on a baby budget lift and regular rims and they just barely rubbed when turning all the way left.

15x8 for up to a 12.50 tire. A wider tire will require a wider wheel.
If you want a heavier wheel, then this is a good choice:

For light weight and fantastic strength....Just pick what suites your fancy.

OEM rims run 15"x6", 15"x7", or 15"x8", and will work with anything up to a 31-10.5x15LT (and probably larger, it's just that 31's are the largest I've put on a 15"x7" wheel.)
Material is a matter of preference - I'd prefer powdercoated steel, myself (I don't care for chrome, paint flakes. Alloy wheels will "chunk out" if they take a hard hit, but steel can be "massaged" back into shape to get you home and "retrued" by a competent tyre shop, wheel shop, or even some machine shops. Don't expect the big-chain tyres stores to have a truing machine, tho...)
Make sure you've got sufficient backspacing, or you'll rub your tyres on suspension parts (especially up front - and you can limit your steering with insufficient backspacing. But, you can bend parts if you have too much backspacing - it's a balancing act.)
Beadlocks are usually for the "rock jocks" that run low working tyre pressures offroad to get better "tread wrap" on the rocks. The beadlock prevents the tyre from "slipping" around the wheel at low inflation pressures. However, beadlocks are not yet DoT-legal, and you can get a ticket for using them on the street (if the cop is being difficult. NB: I have heard that there is a beadlock that is seeking DoT approval, but I don't recall which or how far it's gotten.)
tl; dr - too many options, and far too open-ended of a question. Chew on your ideas, solidify your plans, and we can work to narrow it down for you so your answers make more sense...
