Anyone know what size is the nut that holds the drop pitman arm? Off a '96 cherokee country. Thanks guys!

or a pipe wrench if you had one laying around.

You really tried to take that nut off with channel locks? Stick a pipe on the end of the pipe wrench.

Just wanna say thanks for reminding me that I had a pipe wrench! no cheater bar but my piece of sch40pvc held up! So do I just bang out the old pitman??

Not likely... You are going to need a pitman arm puller. You'll either have to go to O'Reilly auto parts and rent one, or harbor freight and buy one (or snap-on, matco, or mac tools has them as well). And if it's really stuck on there you might need a torch...but hopefully you won't.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll hit them up tomorrow. I was using a bar from the top of the PS and bagning it down with a small sledge, lol. I don't think it budged!
