Ensure that your engine mount is still solid. Mostly on Wranglers but sometimes on Cherokees they snap at the three bosses on the block or unthread themselves.

I would suggest going to this link http://cruiser54.com/ scroll down and do tips 1-6.
Then if you see any other tips you feel like tackling.

Motor mounts and Cruiser tips will happen today. Also, found out that busted sensor is the knock sensor... ordered one last night. I have a new header coming, valve cover gasket, oil pan gasket, oil filter adapter o ring kit, fuel pump, motor mounts and knock sensor... will definitely look into the WJ brake booster.
Anything else you folks can think of since I'm here?

LOL... yeah, that's kind of the idea. It started out as a fuel pump and possibly a pressure regulator, and has snowballed into quite the project. Going to whip out the solder iron and do the splice refresh and a few other things (my driver side turn signal bulb wiring has been held together with a Wago for about five years HA!). Also doing the TB to MAP hose upgrade, TB/IAC cleaning, butterfly adjustment, fuel pump ground upgrade, blower motor upgrade... seriously considering a rear disc conversion...
Anybody in the Great Lakes region got an AX15 they want to part with on the cheap?

Here's what I do.
Make a list of tasks. Cross them off as completed. In the process, if I see something else that needs attention, I add that to the list. Helps to prioritize and keeps me from forgetting.

Oh yes. I may be biased but I think battery cables should go next lol
You won't believe how often I see renix cables have crumbling insulation from years of exposure to oil.

Man, I'm sure my cables are shot out too. I have a new battery waiting to go in, I'll go over the cables when I get over to that side of the motor.
One other thing... my radiator looks kind of ratty and my coolant temp switch is incorporated into the lower rad hose. My switch is busted, so I currently have the electric fan wired to a switch in the cab (hillbilly as can be, I know).
My question is... can anybody recommend a new radiator that has a bung to accept the Renix coolant temp switch, as well as a part number for the correct lower rad hose?

Has anyone mentioned the crank position sensor? It's right there, easy to get at right now ....part of Cruiser54's tips. I had my manifolds off this summer and Didn't change mine ...wish I would have. Now it's a PITA to get to. So, consider that. People say to get a high quality one (also on Cruiser's tips). Check and clean intake manifold and sensor. Make sure other exhaust hangers are still good.
How are your tranny lines? Down under next to the tranny? I'm great lakes too, and last year mine started leaking. The lines themselves aren't expensive, but getting at some of the connectors in front of the breather box are hard to get at. But if they're good, just wait till they leak (change down the road).

Tranny lines to a crummy 5 speed?
