goodyear belts suck. i deal with this stuff all day every day. i hate them. gates makes the best belts, napa belts are gates and so are carquest.

i've had goodyear gatorbacks, and i've installed them, and they suck. they also tend to make noise when its damp out. and this is not just from me, everyone i know in my feild will tell you the same thing. buy gates.

if the gates belt was squeaking it is either worn out, not adjusted properly, or a pulley or something is bad. putting another belt on may mask it for now, but if the gates belt was adjusted and installed properly it will not make noise without another factor going wrong. power steering pump leaking on the belt, water pump leaking on the belt, or bearings going and so on.

goodyear belt will act like that within months a large majority of the time. it is more rare to get a good one than not.
