Can somebody please tell me what sensor goes in this hole and if they could please include a picture of what it looks like? I think I lost it in the shuffling. Thanks

Yeah the coolant temperature sending unit. Some places call it the coolant temperature switch

Does that only do the dash gauge or does the computer need it to run? Cause i have an aftermarket gauge set with a water temp on it

Only does the gauge, the one on the t-stat housing is for the computer
