What are rock rings for?
New member, but long time troller here. Long story short, I got turned onto what people call rock rings? I've seen them on some wheels and they look similar to beadlocks, but they don't hold the tire on as far as I can see. What else would they be for? I really like the look myself and might consider them if they actuall have a purpuse.
AFAIK they are just to help reinforce the edges of the wheels and prevent them from getting bent out of shape, but i could be completely wrong.

If they're useful, then I'd say do it! Could make it look pretty awesome! I wouldn't mind getting a set for mine, but keep it simple.

They are useful and a lot cheaper than replacing wheels. If any of you guys are interested in a custom design drop me a pm. I can send it straight to a cnc in your area or have it cut and sent to you.

Any idea how much something like those would run for just a simplistic design? I'm running the stock 15" steelies. I'd probably go for something mostly solid, but maybe some "D" windows cut out. Maybe even a couple XJ logos....
