I broke mine off on accident so I was looking to replace it but don't know what it is.

Crank Case Ventilation (CCV) tube/elbow.

that long tube broke on mine... I replaced it with one from the JY and I am pretty sure that I have fixed my blow-by issue... no more oil on my air filter...

how do u replace the elbow.. Does it just pull off or screw off or do i have to take the valve cover off to replace it?

it should rotate counter clockwise. while facing the rear of the vehicle, it should come out.

Hey what did you do to fix it? I have blow-by and was trying to fix it. Can you just put a breather on there?

I fixed the vacc tube in the pic and capped another one that was loose in my engine... now the tube going into my air box sucks in instead of blows... I hope its right, but it works...

You can get a replacement from any parts store for 5 bucks. If it's not operating like it came, then I would not be driving it. When a ccv or a pcv valve goes out, the oil system will find the weakest part of any gasket and start leaking oil. An easy way to test one, is to take it out and shake it up and down. If you can here a clicking type sound, then it's good and you have issues elsewhere. If it makes no noise, then a replacement is needed.

i know you can put a breather on the first one on the valve cover. not to sure about the back one.

You can do it with the back. But why spend 10 bucks on a breather filter when you can spend 5 on the correct part? Either way will work, but eventually the breather filter will become gunked with oil and then another 10 bucks will need to be spent.

At Advanced the guy said I have blow by. He said I could cap it with a breather, but I couldnt fix the problem?? He confused me. Im installing a new valve cover gasket and want to fix all that crap but it really seems like no one near me understands what im showing them on my Jeep lol.

Replacing the pcv valve should fix your problem. Changing out new gaskets is always helpful as well/

ive got a question what do you do when you have replaced the pcv and ccv and cleaned the tube and the nipple thin on the intake but still have the blow by prob

Good luck find the CCV and hose. I couldn't find it at any of my local parts stores. And the dealership quoted $80 on the CCV and hose.
