I have no idea what this is, and for those who fabricated new bumpers, where did you relocate it? It's the black cylindrical thing in the bumper. See pic

im pretty sure its for the vacum system dont break it

That is a vacuum resevouir for the HVAC and cruise control. You can relocate it to anyplace it will fit.

Yup it does have to do with the vacuum system. I just traced the lines and it goes to the vacuum actuator. Has anyone relocated it?

that is a vacuum chamber more commonly called the "vacuum ball" a few links with pics of ideas.... (relocations)

there is at least one write up on relocating it to the passenger side of the engine compartment.

Well I found room in the rear passenger side of the engine compartment, would that be a good place to put it will exposing it to heat damage it? Also can I just disconnect the tube attached to it and then re-attach it without doing any special tricks?

nope while disconnecting this you must stand on one leg while patting your tummy with one hand and rubbing the top of your head with the other to prevent a cel light

i fitted mine just under the rad, had to drill a new hole but it was well protected and totaly out the way.

Yes, and you must then add the Chrysler "Turbo Encabulator" to your vehicle to stabilize the newly mounted vacuum reservoir.
