what do those ccv things do, I think they have something to do with the crankshaft and emissions ? the grommet that goes into the valve cover and into the airbox hose cracked on mine and i plugged it with rtv silicone cause it was only a tiny hole exposed. Give me a slightly idiotic but not retarded explanation of what they are

Where can i get the pcv valve? my front and rear one broke on my 2000 4.0 Xj.

Did you not read through this thread at all? It's a "CCV Fitting", not pcv valve. You can get the from a dealership - they still stock them

My dealer no longer stocks them. Said they no longer make them either. But it is just a rubber fitting. Just need to find one that will fit.

The CCV fitting has a metered hole in the end of the elbow. There are no moving parts, and no vacuum actuated valve. It is constantly open.

A PCV valve has a one-way vacuum actuated valve inside the elbow
