Rotella T6, better and cheaper than Mobile 1. I swore by Mobile 1 until I got a Jeep.

Good writeup on oil right here.

Wow. That is a loaded question. There are posts for miles on oil opinions, all different. I read that massive oil post from the link above last week. Very interesting and I'm going to try the rotella t6 next time.

In the winter I usually run a NAPA Gold (WIX) 1459 (WIX 51459), which is even larger (it and the Baldwin B7311-MPG are pretty much the biggest filters that fit) for the extra surface area (and at least theoretically better flow).

Shell Rotella T6 5w40
Pennzoil (yellow bottle) 5 or 10w30
Castrol Edge 0w30
Mobil 1 0w40

My top recommendations. I personally ran T6 for a few sessions to clean things out a bit and am now running PYB 5w30.

I run Driven 10W40 synthetic hot rod oil from Joe Gibbs Racing. I wouldn't recommend it for a stock motor, though.

Jeeps (the 4.0L I6 specifically) like copper plugs (and will generally run better on them than platinums), either NGK (part# ZFR5N) or Champion (part# RC12LYC in 99 and older or RC12ECC in any model year) both work well.

Stick with NGK coppers on your Jeep also.

Will this Rotella T6 5w40 with the WIX filter and these NGK plugs work on 2001 year model okay?
Also, could you check out my differential pics I posted, compared to the pics you posted. I'm having a hard time telling which ones.

Not trying to steal the thread, just need your thoughts. Thanks!
