Default What to look at when buying a jeep

i am looking at a jeep for my father inlaw. he wants a list of trobal spots and i couldn't find a sticky for "buying a used XJ". So i wanted to ask for "trouble spots" to look out for when buying one incase i forgot any thing.

Make sure all the lights and other accessories work correctly and there are no issues with the wiring or fuses. Some Cherokees have bad problems with the wiring that are hard to diagnose.

How it sounds when it starts ? and maybe how it sounds in the 1st gear.

Let it warm up and make sure there is no leaks.
